It is a beautiful and sophisticated bird, it looks like its eyes are painted. It is one of the birds that I frequently see in Lisbon and Ribatejo and that inspires me so much that I used it for my logo. It is insectivore and has the curiosity to descend tree trunks, such as cork oaks and oaks, so common in the Portuguese landscape.
